Job summary

Premier Education is seeking a confident Wraparound Care Lead to manage breakfast and after-school clubs at Dale Hall Primary School in Ipswich. The role is term-time, 25 hours per week, with pay of £13.00–£13.50 per hour. Duties include running the setting, safeguarding, leading a small team, and delivering engaging activities for children.

Successful applicants will hold relevant safeguarding qualifications, have DBS clearance, and a commitment to safe, high-quality play and EYFS standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading staff in childcare or school setting.
• Good safeguarding and EYFS knowledge.
• Ability to plan age-appropriate inclusive play.
• Strong communication and teamwork; basic IT skills.
• Paediatric First Aid, Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead training and an enhanced DBS, or willingness to complete.

Wraparound Care Lead - Breakfast & After School Clubs
Location: Dale Hall Community Primary School, Dale Hall Lane, Ipswich, IP1 4LX

£13.00 - £13.50 p/h | 25 hours per week | Term-Time Only
To cover Breakfast Club (7:45am-8:45am) and After School (3:15pm - 6pm)

We're looking for a confident, caring and organised Venue Lead to run our established wraparound care provision at Dale Hall Primary School.

Key Responsibilities

• Run the setting day to day and keep every child safe, happy and cared for
• Lead and support a small team
• Plan fun, inclusive activities and healthy snacks each week
• Take the lead on safeguarding, first aid, registers and health and safety
• Build strong, friendly relationships with children, parents and school staff
• Keep the club Ofsted-ready and follow EYFS guidelines

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Experience leading or supervising staff in a childcare or school setting
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and EYFS
• Confidence planning age-appropriate, inclusive play
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, plus basic IT skills
• Paediatric First Aid, Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead training and an enhanced DBS, or willingness to complete these when you join

Desirable:

• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Playwork or similar
