Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a purpose-driven Wrap Around Care Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Nottingham. The role runs 7-9 am and 3-6 pm, starting September 2026, delivering breakfast and after-school clubs with engaging activities and a focus on safety and wellbeing.

You will work with staff, communicate with parents, and help create a nurturing, inclusive environment that supports children’s development and enjoyment of the school day.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working with children in a school, childcare, nursery, or wrap around care setting.
  • Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, Playwork or related field is essential.
  • Genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality care and supervision for children during breakfast and/or after-school club sessions.
  • Planning and delivering fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities.
  • Promoting inclusion and encouraging positive relationships between pupils.
  • Supporting children's social, emotional, and physical development through play.
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
  • Preparing and serving light snacks in line with school policies.
  • Working closely with school staff and communicating effectively with parents where appropriate.
  • Helping to maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment.

Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, enthusiastic Wrap Around Care Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September 2026. Hours: 7-9 am (leading breakfast club) and 3-6 pm (leading after-school club)

What You'll Be Doing in the Role:
