Before & After School Club Playworker - Level 2
Location: West Wirral
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 7:45am - 8:45am and 3:15pm - 5:45pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £16.30 per hour
Contract: Long-Term, Part-Time
Qualification Required: Level 2 Playwork or Teaching Assistant
Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school in West Wirral who are seeking a Level 2 qualified Playworker or Teaching Assistant to support their before and after school club provision.
This is a part-time, long-term role, perfect for someone looking for regular hours across both the morning and afternoon sessions, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage children during breakfast and after school club activities
  • Create a safe, inclusive and fun environment for all pupils
  • Support children with play, social interaction and light snacks
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times


Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification in Playwork or Teaching Assistant
  • Previous experience in a school or childcare setting
  • Friendly, reliable and confident working with primary-aged children
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
