Job summary

Basemap Ltd in Guildford (Surrey Research Park) is seeking a software developer to join a leading-edge mapping solutions team. You will build features in a WPF desktop application using MVVM, extend mapping and data visualization with GIS frameworks, and contribute to refactoring and new analysis features.

The role supports Agile/Scrum with daily standups, code reviews, and CI/CD via Azure DevOps; expect 3+ years' experience, a generous package, pension, 25 days holiday rising to 28 after 3

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience developing software
• Experience in desktop or MVVM-based applications
• Experience with GIS frameworks or libraries is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
• Proficient in unit testing and CI/CD processes

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features in the WPF desktop application using MVVM
• Extend mapping and data visualization using GIS SDKs
• Write algorithms and collaborate to implement new analysis features
• Author unit tests and participate in code reviews
• Contribute to a self-organising Scrum team and CI/CD pipelines
