Summary

Volunteers are needed to help run our free upcycling workshop for students with minor mental health or learning issues.

Detailed Description

We are seeking volunteers with an interest or talent in woodwork, upcycling, painting, and reupholstering to assist our tutor in running a free course on Tuesdays for people with minor mental health or learning issues. Each course lasts 8 weeks.

Additionally, we require workshop volunteers to come on other days to upcycle furniture pieces for sale in our store, helping us raise funds to support our charity.

Requirements: Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Getting There

Parking is available on-site. The nearest train station is Rickmansworth, and several buses serve Rickmansworth High Street, which is a few minutes' walk from our store.

We are an independent charity with three main aims: to help people on means-tested benefits by offering a scheme to purchase white ticket items at 50% off, to run free furniture upcycling courses for individuals with mental health or learning issues, and to reduce landfill waste.
