KAUTEC RECRUITMENT Ltd is seeking a Workshop Vehicle Engineer to inspect, maintain, and repair a varied fleet, including HGVs, RCVs, road sweepers, and vans. The role offers day shifts and a salary up to £54,000 with overtime.

You will perform routine maintenance, MOT prep, DVSA-standard servicing, fault diagnosis, and chassis/fabrication work, with exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical diagnostics. A recognised qualification and strong mechanics knowledge are preferred.

Workshop Vehicle Engineer (HGV Technician)

Day Shifts | Salary up to £54,000 + Overtime

The Role

You'll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a varied and diverse fleet. This is a hands‑on role offering exposure to a wide range of vehicles, including:

• Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs)


• Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs)


• Road sweepers


• Hook loaders


• Light commercial vehicles (vans)


• Trailers and tippers

Key Responsibilities

• Routine and preventative maintenance


• MOT preparation


• Servicing to DVSA standards


• 6- or 8-weekly safety inspections


• Diagnosing and rectifying faults


• Chassis and fabrication work


• Working with hydraulics and pneumatics


• Electrical diagnostics, wiring, and repairs


• Continuous improvement of vehicle standards

About You
