Workshop TIG Welder & Fabricator

Location: Swindon, Wiltshire

Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience

Our well-established client is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Workshop Technician to join their growing team!

Workshop TIG Welder & Fabricator Role and Responsibilities:

1. Carry out welding and production duties
2. TIG welding on stainless steel and other materials
3. Milling and turning duties on manual machines and some CNC
4. Modifying, fitting, and setting parts and components
5. Operating a range of hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, saws, etc.
6. Sheet metal work and fabrication
7. Reading and working from engineering drawings (3rd angle, 2D, Solid Model) to create components to tight tolerances and specifications
8. Pressure testing of equipment (training can be provided)

The Ideal Workshop TIG Welder & Fabricator Will Have:

• Experience with TIG welding, working with stainless steel
• Proficiency in reading and working from engineering drawings
• Experience with machining and fabrication
• Apprentice trained within fabrication and machining

Core Working Hours and Details:

• Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00
• Friday 08:30 – 16:00
• Flexible working hours
• 23 days holiday + bank holidays
