Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Workshop Technician in Sutton Coldfield with regular travel. The role starts with training to assemble and test products, followed by field-based work four days a week.

You will repair, maintain and calibrate stun guns at client sites, train customers in product use, and enjoy an early finish on Fridays with overtime opportunities within a supportive environment.

Are you a Workshop Technician or similar looking to progress into a Field Service role within a tight‑knit Agricultural company who are part of a global group offering the chance to greatly upskill yourself and continually develop your career?

This company are the global leading manufacturer of stun guns for the agricultural industry with over 100 years experience in their field. They have built a loyal client base across over 70 countries and due to continued success, are looking to expand their friendly service team.

In this exciting role you will initially be trained to assemble and test products, shadowing senior engineers in the process. Following this, you will be primarily field based (4 days a week) visiting clients to maintain, repair, and calibrate all products, with Fridays back in the Workshop. You will also be responsible for training clients how to use the products, with some overnight stays required.

This role would suit a Workshop / Mechanical Technician or similar looking for specialist training to upskill themselves in a new area within a global leading manufacturer offering ongoing development opportunities and an early finish on a Friday.

The Role:
