Job description

Workshop Engineer

£35,000 Per Annum

Location: Essex

We are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join a well-established and reputable business in Epping. Duties will include site assembly, testing, stock, and general workshop activities. This is both a challenging and exciting opportunity to work at a company that invests in R&D and its staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Mechanical Assembly of gates, barriers and control panels
  2. Testing of systems
  3. Complete a nine-point force test and report any failure immediately to the office.
  4. Accurately complete workshop related reports.
  5. Offer competent technical assistance when required.
  6. Ensure each job is completed within the allocated time allowed.
  7. Carry out fault diagnosis
  8. Ensure the compliance of company procedures
  9. Housekeeping of all elements including stock, equipment and internal processes
  10. Display a proactive, can-do attitude within the organization, with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.

Applicant Requirements:
  1. You will be helpful and knowledgeable, taking pride in your work and be able to work with great accuracy.
  2. Hydraulic and Electro Mechanical experience an advantage
  3. Technical background with the ability to fault find, diagnose and carry out repairs.
  4. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  5. Excellent customer service skills.
  6. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  7. Full clean driving license.

Benefits:
  1. Salary of up to £35,000 per annum - rising to £38,000 after probation
  2. Monday to Friday. Flexible hours pattern
  3. Overtime rate of 1.5 times.

  5. 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
