Job description

We are looking for a Workshop Team Leader to join our busy Portsmouth depot.

This role is vital to ensure all workshop activities are completed efficiently, consistently, and in full compliance with company procedures and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Workshop Team Leader:

  • Managing and prioritising daily workshop tasks and job allocations.
  • Overseeing Short Term Rental machine inspections and preparation.
  • Coordinating and conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop.
  • Maintaining tool control, ensuring proper storage and accountability.
  • Managing battery charging protocols for all electric fleet vehicles and equipment, in line with best practices to prolong battery life and ensure safety.
  • Promoting workshop cleanliness and organisation to support an efficient work environment.
  • Conducting quality control checks to ensure all work meets manufacturer and company standards.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and workshop documentation.
  • Providing guidance and support to workshop personnel.

Experience in the Material Handling industry is not essential, but a proven track record in a similar industry (HGV, LCV, Agriculture, Construction etc) working at a leadership level is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: GBP30,000.00-GBP36,000.00 per year
