Job Title: Workshop Supervisor / Instructor (Experience needed in one or more of the following areas - Maintenance / Repair / Manufacturing / Waste Management / Cleaning / Horticulture)

Location: York - Centre based

Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Duties
  • To provide tailored, hands-on training and support to groups of learners within a workshop setting, who are gaining skills and experience in the fields of manufacturing, cleaning, waste management and horticulture.
  • Conduct health and safety checks, administering safe work practices.
  • Creation of schedules and targets, ensuring production and contractual goals are met.
  • Conduct regular 1:1's and development meetings with your learners, to uphold motivation and high standards of performance.
  • Work in partnership with the wider education team, to support your learners with their Employability and personal development skills.
  • Manage and audit inventory and stock levels, to meet training and production demands.
  • Completion of required documentation and reports.
Criteria
  • The successful candidate must be versatile and have the ability to adapt delivery methods and vocations, dependent upon the cover required at the time.
  • Must have experience of working at supervisory level or above within any of the following: Manufacturing, industrial operations, cleaning or waste management.
  • Must be familiar with Health and Safety processes.
  • Must possess strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Possess a compassionate nature, to support vulnerable learners.
  • A passion for training and development.
  • Must possess strong administrative skills.
