Workshop Supervisor

Our client is looking for a Steelwork Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client's fabrication services are executed by fully-coded staff to BS EN 1090 Execution Class 3 and EN ISO 3834-2, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Their lean approach to fabrication not only enhances the lifespan of their clients' assets but also minimizes schedule risks, enabling timely and within-budget delivery.

Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of all aspects of the steel industry.

Rate of Pay: Up to £46,000 + Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing, motivating, and monitoring the performance of workshop staff, supporting their daily tasks and development.
  • Ensuring the availability of all materials required to meet production targets through forward planning and ordering.
  • Maximizing resource use and scheduling work hours to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Overtime may be required during high production periods.
  • Collaborating with TPM staff and Site Supervisors, maintaining excellent working relationships, and working as part of a team.
  • Ensuring compliance with all workshop health and safety regulations.
  • Booking and dispatching products to customer sites as needed.
  • Attending meetings with senior management as required.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe workplace.
  • Completing all paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
