We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Barnsley area for a Workshop Supervisor. This is a full time role for a period of 3-6 months.

You would be responsible for all operational aspects of fleet maintenance function. In particular ensuring the delivery of the maintenance program within existing budgets, on time and to the standard required by the relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake and supervise servicing and repairs of vehicles, plant, and associated equipment
  • To act as Authorised Examiner Delegated Manager, manage and prepare vehicles for MOT/HGV tests.
  • Responsible for management of a team of employees, ensuring skills and capabilities match the business needs and providing direction and coordination, support, guidance, dealing with recruitment, motivation, training, welfare and discipline issues as appropriate.
  • Accountable for all aspects of the municipal maintenance function, including maintenance planning, quality control, equipment maintenance and training.
  • Provide support and contribute accurate information for both monitoring and budget purposes.
