Job description

Our client is looking for a Steelwork Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client's fabrication services are executed by fully-coded staff to BS EN 1090 Execution Class 3 and EN ISO 3834-2, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Our lean approach minimizes schedule risks and helps deliver products on time and within budget.

Must have knowledge of all aspects of the steel industry.

Rate of Pay: Up to £46,000 + Benefits

Responsibilities include:
  1. Managing, motivating, and monitoring the performance of all workshop staff, supporting their daily tasks and development.
  2. Ensuring the availability of all materials required to meet production targets through forward planning and ordering.
  3. Meeting production targets and deadlines by optimizing resource use and scheduling working hours.
  4. Overtime may be required during high production periods.
  5. Collaborating with TPM staff and Site Supervisors, maintaining excellent working relationships. Teamwork is essential.
  6. Ensuring compliance with all workshop health and safety regulations.
  7. Booking and coordinating dispatch of products to customer sites as needed.
  8. Attending meetings with senior management as required.
  9. Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe workplace.
  10. Completing all paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
