Overview

Framatome Ltd are looking for a proactive and experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our dynamic workshop team in Avonmouth, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity across all operations.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Production Manager ensuring alignment with schedule and other business needs.
  • Coordinate and monitor workshop activities to ensure efficient workflow, timely completion of tasks, and optimal resource allocation.
  • Plan and oversee daily fabrication schedules, ensuring jobs are completed on time, to spec, and with minimal waste or downtime.
  • Lead and motivate a skilled team of fabricators, welders and general operatives.
  • Oversee workshop resources, including welding equipment, consumables, and raw materials, ensuring everything is maintained and available when needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and driving performance metrics.
  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and leading by example.
Profile / Qualifications
  • 3+ years proven relevant experience within Welding & Fabrication (essential).
  • Proven experience in leading/managing others, utilising good decision making skills.
  • Experience of assisting the development of workplace processes and procedures.
  • Strong experience with working in accordance with specifications and standards.
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated industry advantageous.
  • Questioning attitude.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including influencing and promoting teamwork.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to take responsibility for problems within their own remit and to deliver solutions.
