Job summary

Tecna designs and delivers exhibition stands and event environments for clients across the UK and Europe. We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our Farnborough workshop, develop the team and optimise production workflows in a safety-focused, organised environment.

The role focuses on people leadership, workload planning and quality control, with collaboration across operations, projects and installation teams to deliver on time and to standard. DOE salary up to £60,000 is offered

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a workshop, production, fabrication or manufacturing team.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, including coaching and performance management.
• Experience planning workloads, scheduling resources and managing competing priorities.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a workshop environment.
• Experience managing budgets, materials, consumables and workshop costs.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to bring structure and accountability to a busy production environment.
• A practical understanding of exhibition build standards and balanced production decisions.
• Background in exhibitions, events, or related environments.
• Broad knowledge of materials and fabrication methods.
• Good IT skills and experience using planning/tracking/reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the workshop team on a day-to-day basis, setting priorities and workloads.
• Conduct regular 1-to-1s, performance reviews and development discussions.
• Create development plans and support progression across the team.
• Own apprenticeship programme with structured training and mentoring.
• Foster a high-performing culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
• Own workshop scheduling and resource planning across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant workshop environment.
• Manage workshop equipment, maintenance and stock control.
• Drive cost-conscious and sustainable material usage.
