Job summary

Exchange People are recruiting a Workshop Operative for a local engineering client in Haydock. The role covers operating machinery, deep cleaning and processing products to the required standard. Training will take place on days and then rotate to shifts (6am-2:30pm, 8am-4:30pm, 1:30pm-10pm).

You must be reliable, punctual and physically capable of manual cleaning tasks. There is regular overtime at enhanced rates, with a temporary-to-permanent contract and a supportive team environment offering

Workshop Operative - £13.40 per hour regular overtime paying up to £26.80 per hour Our client, a local engineering firm have an exciting temporary to permanent opportunity for an experienced Workshop Operative to join their successful team at their site in Haydock.

What you’ll be doing

• Cleaning manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Dismantling and reassembling equipment for scheduled deep cleans
• Machine minding to ensure the smooth running of the machinery
• Keeping work area clean and tidy

Job Role: Operating machinery, deep cleaning and processing our client’s products

Location: Haydock

Hours: Training on Days then will move to shifts (Current shifts 6am to
2.30pm, 8am to
4.30pm and
1.30pm to 10pm) Candidates will need to be flexible as you will work a mix of these hours through the week.

Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour regular overtime paying up to £26.80 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
