Job summary

A manufacturing company in North Norwich is seeking a Workshop Operative to construct and finish precision-engineered products. The role requires basic engineering experience and the ability to work with hand and power tools. Successful candidates will collaborate with designers and maintain exceptional quality standards. The starting wage is £12.26 per hour, increasing to £12.88 per hour.

Qualifications

• Basic engineering experience, ideally in cabinet/kitchen building or window industry.
• Experience using hand/power tools in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Constructing, assembling and finishing precision-engineered products using both hand and power tools
• Working on complex builds requiring engineering knowledge and technical aptitude
• Fabricating sub-assemblies for sophisticated product ranges
• Collaborating with CAD designers and workshop management on innovative solutions
• Maintaining exceptional quality standards throughout the production process
• Schedule: Monday to Friday 07:00 - 18:00; 15 min break @ 10:30, 30 min break @ 1:00, 15 min break @ 3:00

Qualifications

• Basic engineering experience, e.g. cabinet/kitchen building or window industry experience
• Previous experience with hand/power tools in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read from engineering drawings
• Team player with excellent communication skills

Salary

£12.26 per hour starting, progressing to £12.88 per hour
