Job description

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Mon Thu 7:30am 4:30pm, Fri 7:30am 2pm)

THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit a Workshop Mechanical Engineer to join our client. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with a global reputation. THE ROLE

  • You will build/assemble all mechanical components on bespoke vehicles
  • You will have experience in pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
  • You will have both TIG and MIG welding skills
  • You must have basic fabrication skills for this role
  • You will be able to interpret engineering data such as drawings and schematics

THE PERSON

  • You need to have a driving licence and your own transport
  • You will have the ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools (drills, grinders, riveting etc.)
  • You may have experience with vehicle building (ideally HGV)
  • Experience with refuelling vehicles is beneficial but not essential
  • This role would suit candidates from a plant engineering background, ex-forces, HGV or similar
  • You will need to undertake a medical and confined space training for this role
