Workshop Mechanic (Rescue Boats)

Salary: 35,500 - 36,200 + Extensive overtime + 33 days holiday + pension + Shore-based role in Workshop

Location: Aberdeen

Are you a mechanic with experience in cars, agricultural machinery, or HGVs looking for a land-based role supporting the maintenance of the UK's largest wholly UK-owned fleet involved in offshore industry operations?

This role offers the opportunity to join a team where your main responsibilities will include mechanical repairs and servicing of fast rescue craft, as well as preventive maintenance on deck equipment.

This position is suitable for a mechanic or engineer seeking a land-based role with varied and interesting opportunities in the future.

Responsibilities:
  1. Service outboard and inboard diesel and petrol Fast Rescue Crafts
  2. Repair outboard and inboard diesel and petrol Fast Rescue Crafts
  3. Ensure all shipboard mechanical systems are operated and maintained safely and efficiently
  4. Maintain up-to-date records in company-approved Planned Maintenance, Purchasing, and systems
