We're excited to announce the addition of two new sites to our Activate Accident Repair business! We have acquired two established Motorcare Bodyshops in Tunbridge Wells (Kent) and Bristol, marking a significant step in expanding our repair capacity to support our growing client base.

We are now recruiting for our Tunbridge Wells site and are looking for a Workshop Controller to join our newest team as we grow.

About the role

Ensure service and repairs are carried out effectively and accurately, maintaining the highest standards of technical quality within the Bodyshop.

Key responsibilities

  1. Implement operational workshop loading system in line with company policy/procedures, ensuring all targets and deadlines are met.
  2. Liaise with office logistics staff to monitor incoming repair vehicles.
  3. Utilise resources efficiently within your area of responsibility.
  4. Deliver exceptional customer service.
  5. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  6. Report potential Health and Safety risks to affected personnel.
  7. Monitor and control workshop output and efficiency.
  8. Communicate repair procedures clearly to staff and customers, adapting explanations as needed.
  9. Assign tasks using workshop equipment appropriately.
  10. Value vehicles accurately to assess repair economics.
  11. Adhere to material wastage reduction targets.
  12. Protect customer vehicles and contents during repairs.

Skills and experience

  1. Understanding of the repair industry, vehicle legislation, and trade practices.
  2. Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including E.P.A. and Risk Assessment.
  3. Computer literacy.
  4. Leadership and coaching skills.
