A leading company in the plant industry is seeking a Workshop Manager to oversee a service team in Wellingborough. Job Role: Workshop Manager - Plant Industry
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: GBP50,000-GBP55,000 base salary
Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00 +
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Package:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the service team at the depot, carrying out staff training, recruitment, development and appraisals.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation to report to management.
  • Oversee daily operations of the depot, ensuring that all work is completed as effectively and efficiently as possible by the service team.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure that they receive efficient service and that all their needs are met to a satisfactory level.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of all services completed.
  • Ensure that the workshop is running smoothly on a day-to-day basis, dealing with any potential problems that may arise efficiently.

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the plant or forklift industries (essential)
  • Experience with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
  • Experience working with engines and batteries (essential)
  • Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and service experience
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering) are advantageous
  • Full UK driver's license
