Job Title: Workshop Controller

As a Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop team on a daily basis and have supervisory responsibilities. Your duties include allocating jobs based on technical requirements and customer demand, holding daily huddles to update colleagues on commercial priorities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

This role requires technical training, inspiring and mentoring the Workshop team to develop their skills, and providing technical support when needed. You will promote the Halfords Values and instill these in your team.

Skills and Experience:
  • Technically trained to Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance standard, or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing or supervising a team/workshop to drive performance
  • Excellent customer communication skills
  • Experience developing colleagues through technical training
  • Proven ability to exceed customer metrics and support KPI achievement
  • Experience ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and quality standards
  • Experience with labour force scheduling and time management
  • Must hold a current full valid driving licence
