Responsibilities:
- Maintain good workshop loading and prioritize repairs based on customer and business needs
- Minimize trailer/truck downtime by identifying economical repair methods
- Carry out inspections, services, and repairs in the workshop, roadside, or at customer premises to high standards, complying with all legislation and safety policies
- Manage workshop systems and processes efficiently
- Promote safe, tidy, hazard-free working environment, adhering to EHS policies and legislation
- Maintain staffing levels by managing holiday requests and workshop workload
- Control overtime in line with maintenance needs
- Process paperwork accurately and promptly
- Identify opportunities to utilize manufacturer warranties and goodwill schemes
- Analyze maintenance trends and report to management
- Meet or exceed all set goals and objectives
- Ensure company vehicles are operated legally and in accordance with policies
- Provide excellent customer service and uphold company values
- Identify potential business opportunities and communicate them to management
- Ensure staff driving Mobile Service Vans understand and adhere to policies
- Ensure staff wear/use appropriate PPE at all times
- Follow health and safety policies, reporting concerns to the Branch Manager
- Complete all required training

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience in workshop management is advantageous
- Must be a “time served” technician or hold City & Guilds 1, 2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent, with a background in trailer repairs
- Customer and team-focused mindset with professionalism
- Experience managing a team is a plus
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with strong communication skills
- Organized, attentive to detail, able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Confident to challenge and question
- Analytical and numerical skills are beneficial
- Valid full driving license
