WORKSHOP MANAGER

OTE: £55,000pa

Salary: £48,000pa - £52,000pa + Annual Bonus

Working Hours: 45 Hours per week

Location: Barnstaple

Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager or HGV Technician with senior experience within the municipal vehicle or refuse vehicle industry.

Responsibilities of a Workshop Manager
  1. Supervising and motivating our team of HGV Technicians and proactively reviewing daily workload to seek opportunities that will help drive performance.
  2. Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks, resolving issues, and providing all necessary information and advice to reassure customers.
  3. Supervising the daily timekeeping of technicians and managing authorized absence to ensure consistent attendance.
  4. Maintaining relationships with vehicle manufacturers and providing technical information to Technicians during repair operations.
  5. Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and security within the workshop and surrounding areas.
Skills and Qualifications of a Workshop Manager
  1. Prior experience in a similar role.
  2. HGV Technician experience.
  3. Municipal, refuse, or waste management industry experience.
  4. Class 1 licence would be advantageous.
