Lynx Employment Services is recruiting on behalf of our client in Rotherham for a qualified and motivated Workshop Light Vehicle (LV) Technician / MOT Tester to join their in-house maintenance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a well-equipped and forward-thinking workshop operation, supporting essential fleet services across the borough. This is a full time role Monday - Friday, 7.30-3.30pm.

Lynx Employment Services is recruiting on behalf of our client in Rotherham for a qualified and motivated Workshop Light Vehicle (LV) Technician / MOT Tester to join their in-house maintenance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a well-equipped and forward-thinking workshop operation, supporting essential fleet services across the borough. This is a full time role Monday - Friday, 7.30-3.30pm.

Key Responsibilities

As a crucial member of the team, you will:

• Carry out up to 8 MOT and Taxi Compliance tests daily in line with DVSA standards.

• Perform high-level fault diagnosis, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a fleet of over 200 vehicles and grounds maintenance machinery.

• Prepare and present vehicles for MOT tests and periodic safety inspections.

• Use advanced diagnostic tools across hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

• Maintain accurate test records in the Taxi Compliance Database.

• Attend vehicle breakdowns or accident sites, performing temporary or permanent repairs.

• Conduct pre-delivery inspections for new fleet vehicles and support decommissioning of vehicles at the end of their service life.

Ideal Candidate

• Fully qualified MOT Testers with current DVSA accreditation.
