Job description

Warehouse and engineer support operative is required to manage goods in/out of both trucks and ancillary equipment with no errors and ensure detailed records are maintained. The warehouse, including yard and racking, needs to be kept in a clean manner. All forklift trucks are to be stored to utilise space efficiently with easy accessibility, ensuring engineers can complete work without delays.

What we offer:
  • Ensure a consistent safe working environment is maintained in the workshop and warehouse facilities.
  • Make sure all trucks are available for collection and report issues before the delivery driver arrives; complete pre- and post-inspections.
  • Unload and distribute parts deliveries to engineers, with anomalies actioned.
  • Charge electric trucks and top up batteries so engineers can work on/collect without delay.
  • Load/unload all products with detailed records maintained; all items goods receipted on system.
  • Manage storage/racking to include space utilisation, access, and identification.
  • Maintain housekeeping to meet 5S standards.
  • Be proactive in workshop/warehouse cleanliness.
  • Provide support for workshop activities, including driving, jumpstarting, steam cleaning trucks, and parts returns scrapping of trucks.
  • Follow company procedures on collection and delivery of FLT, including Goods Receipt (GR), and maintain records.
  • Liaise with STR and sales admin to ensure efficient collection and delivery of products.
  • Support asset controller during peak demand and absence.
  • Assist in scrapping, removal, and processing of reusable parts from end-of-life forklift trucks.
