Job description

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Workshop Labourer to support our workshop operations at the Montrose rig site.

About the Role

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and cleanliness across our production environment, contributing directly to our efficiency and safety standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping inside the workshop and outdoor storage areas
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and side loaders (training provided if needed)
  • Support power washing and equipment cleaning
  • Assist with the movement of components to maintain workflow efficiency
  • Complete timely deliveries and pickups
  • Maintain waste and material containers and locker areas
  • Collaborate with various departments, including machine operators and site teams
  • Comply with health and safety procedures and report risks
  • Accurately log timekeeping and job activities using internal systems

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment
  • Willingness to work flexibly and support various departments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
  • Forklift license and clean driving license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfortable with physical tasks and lifting
  • Experience in steel fabrication or similar setting
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings and use measuring tools
  • Knowledge of dumpy level and material measuring calculations
