Capita, in collaboration with Selborne and HMS Sultan, seeks a Workshop/Handskills Trainer to deliver focused mechanical craft training. You will mentor trainees to build core engineering skills, with full teacher training provided on site and end-to-end support to succeed.
The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) on site, with UK security clearance at SC level required. Salary is pro rata and benefits are provided.
Play a vital role in preparing skilled personnel for the front line—faster. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to make a lasting impact by mentoring and developing the next generation of Royal Navy engineers. You’ll use your industry expertise to coach trainees, helping them build essential engineering hand skills and confidence within a structured learning environment. This is a training-focused role, but prior teaching experience is not required. Full teacher training delivered on site and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed—what matters most is your passion, enthusiasm, and ability to engage and inspire learners throughout their journey.
