Job summary

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer for a client in Corby. The role involves servicing and repairing forklift trucks and related lifting equipment, carrying out routine maintenance, and ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical engineering background, a full UK driving licence, and be able to work effectively both in a team and on an individual basis.

Qualifications

• A solid mechanical engineering background is essential.
• Customer focused and able to work in a team or independently.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Experience with forklift trucks, military, agricultural or plant equipment is highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
• Carrying out routine maintenance.
• Checking oil and fuel levels.
• Checking all related hoses and connections.
• Steering and brake checks.
• Basic electrical checks - brake lights etc.
• Liaising with customers regarding their individual requirements.
• Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
• Acting as the face of the company and therefore acting as a brand ambassador.

Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to long/short term machines and customers owned equipment. Ensuring best practice with quality and professionalism are met at all times and to maintain customer satisfaction.
