Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd are seeking a Forklift Engineer to join one of our clients in Edinburgh. You will service and repair forklift trucks and other lifting equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, checking oil/fuel levels, hoses and connections, steering/brake checks, and basic electrical checks. You will liaise with customers and submit parts requisitions, representing the company as a brand ambassador.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical engineering background required.
• Customer focussed with strong communication.
• Able to work in a team or independently.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Experience with forklift trucks or plant equipment desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
• Carrying out routine maintenance.
• Checking oil and fuel levels.
• Checking all related hoses and connections.
• Steering and brake checks.
• Basic electrical checks - brake lights etc.
• Liaising with customers regarding their individual requirements.
• Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
• Acting as the face of the company and therefore acting as a brand ambassador.

Skills and Qualifications

• A good mechanical engineering background is essential.
• Customer focused.
• Ability to work as part of a team or on an individual basis where required.
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Experience with forklift trucks, military, agricultural or plant equipment is highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
