We’re looking for a great service engineer and manager to lead our new and improved west London workshop. Someone who takes pride in maintaining a high-quality fleet, while also striving for better efficiency and growth.

The role
Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role, with about 80% of your time spent on the tools and 20% managing the workshop and our team of fitters. You will be someone who enjoys being part of a busy depot, with a high volume and fast turnaround of kit, and the following responsibilities:
Providing leadership, motivation, and discipline
Supervising, training, and working with our team of fitters and apprentices
Fault-finding, servicing, and repairing tools, plant, and powered access
Maintaining our high standards of equipment operation and presentation
Managing workflow, prioritising jobs, ordering spares, and system administration
Ensuring the safety, organisation, and cleanliness of the workshop
Working collaboratively with our office, warehouse, and driving teams
The Requirements
A team player with experience of successfully motivating and managing people
A track record of repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical machinery
Proficient with two-stroke, petrol, and diesel engines
The enthusiasm and commitment to learn about our range of equipment
The ability to prioritise, work quickly and methodically, and pay attention to detail
A good level of numeracy, literacy, and IT skill
A sense of humour
