Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Fabricator/Fitter for a full-time role in Weston-Super-Mare. You will be involved in fabricating and fitting bespoke trailers and vehicle conversions, working across multiple trades and in varying environments.

Day-to-day tasks include fitting out mobile kitchens, building trailer bodies, wiring, plumbing, and woodwork, with welding as needed. Overtime is available, and a supportive team environment is provided.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret plans/drawings accurately.
• Hands-on, practical mindset with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and numerical skills.
• Ability to operate plant machinery; CNC training provided.

Responsibilities

• Fit out mobile kitchens and interiors in small spaces such as horse boxes, caravans and trailers.
• Build the body of a trailer from the chassis.
• Wire and plumb fixtures and fittings.
• Construct woodwork: framing, lining out and fitting units.
• Weld as required across builds.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour, Depending on Experience.

Location: Weston-Super-Mare - BS24.

Schedule: 8 Hour Shifts- Monday to Friday.

The Role:

This role is for someone who is practically minded, ready for a challenge, and comfortable working as part of a team or on their own initiative. It can be physically demanding at times - expect lifting materials and working in tight spaces.

A typical day could involve any of the following:

• Fitting out mobile kitchens and interiors in small spaces - horse boxes, caravans, catering trailers, exhibition trailers, chassis cab vehicles, vans and shepherd huts
• Building the body of a trailer up from the chassis
• Wiring and plumbing in fixtures and fittings
• Woodwork - framing, lining out and fitting units
• Welding as needed across builds
• Cutting and fitting access doors, hatches and openings

It's a genuinely varied job, best suited to a practical all-rounder.

What You'll Need:

• A practical, hands-on mindset
• Ability to read plans and drawings
• Good written, numerical and communication skills - essential
• Ability to use plant machinery, including CNC (full training given)
• Focus on the project, a team-player attitude, and the ability to meet deadlines
• Able to supply two good references
