Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Fitter (Plant Machinery) in Cambridge. The role focuses on servicing, diagnosing faults and performing repairs on hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, with in-house SANY training and progression opportunities.

You will join a well-established company offering specialist training, long-term progression, and a stable, workshop-based environment. On-site parking is provided, with overtime and fixed training included.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Workshop Engineer, Plant Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on construction, agricultural or similar machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair of machinery.
• Diagnose faults across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform fabrication and basic welding where required.
• Work on automotive and machinery electrical systems.
• Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards.
