Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Facilities) for a permanent role in Cambridge at a world-leading research organisation on a 400-acre site. You will maintain HVAC units, fire alarms, smart systems and standby generators, with on-the-job training provided.

The role involves steam fitting and plumbing across multiple buildings. Overtime is paid at 1.5x, with a 1 in 8 weeks call-out rota, and there are opportunities for progression and training to enhance your

Qualifications

• Must have facilities maintenance background with mechanical expertise.
• Recognised engineering qualification.
• Experience with HVAC, fire alarms, and building systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining HVAC units, fire alarms, smart systems and standby generators.
• Working on steam systems and plumbing.
• Full on the job training provided.
• Working on a 400-acre site across multiple buildings.
• Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:00, Fri 08:00–15:30.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x; 1 in 8 weeks call out rota.
