Job summary

A leading equipment maintenance firm is seeking a Workshop Engineer to service and maintain various handling equipment in Cannock. The role requires a relevant technical qualification and experience in a similar field. You will work independently while adhering to health and safety guidelines. The position offers a competitive salary up to £39,496 and various benefits, including career development and a contributory pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience of working on cars, forklifts, plant equipment, or similar.
• Previous experience within a workshop or field-based position.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain diesel, LPG, and electrical handling equipment.
• Conduct fault finding and planned preventative maintenance.
• Ensure a clean and safe working area.

Role: Workshop Engineer

Contract: Permanent

Location: Cannock

The Impact you will have:

• The service and maintenance of diesel, LPG and electrical materials handling equipment
• Fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and pre delivery inspection of forklift trucks
• Maintaining a clean and orderly working area including common areas
• Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and workshop rules
• Completing job cards and ensuring all required parts to complete tasks are ordered
  
  

What will help you to excel in this role:

• Experience of working on either; cars, forklifts, plant equipment, cleaning machines, powered access, HGV's or similar.Relevant technical qualification
• Previous experience within either a workshop or field based position
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principals
• The ability to work independently and under pressure
• The ability to manage and prioritise workload
