We are a UK leading mechanical engineering supplier based in Speke, Liverpool, seeking a Workshop Engineer / Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

The Workshop Engineer / Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing service, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines, pumps, and related products at our Speke workshop.

The ideal candidate will have experience fitting and servicing industrial mechanical engineering products such as pumps, engines, motors, gearboxes, valves, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, generators, or similar products.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Service, maintain, and repair diesel engines, pumps, and related products at the workshop in Speke.
  • Inspect and test all rental equipment returned to the branch, including fault finding and diagnostics of pumps, engines, and ancillary products.
  • Ensure all pump and engine products meet manufacturing specifications before delivery.
  • Complete technical documentation during work processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and liaise with engineering departments.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a workshop engineer, fitter, pump engineer, hydraulic fitter, valve technician, installation engineer, or similar roles.
  • Strong mechanical engineering background with experience servicing industrial products.
  • NVQ Level or higher engineering qualification.
  • Experience or qualification in automotive engineering is highly encouraged.
  • Willingness to commute to the workshop in Speke.
