Job summary

A UK-based recruitment consultancy is seeking a Workshop Engineer for a static role in Essex. The ideal candidate will maintain and repair various equipment and work closely with a team. Experience in a plant environment and knowledge of diesel engines are essential. This role offers £15-£18/hour with opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering roles is essential.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems is required.
  • Engineering qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Work on rollers, compactors and diesel engines.
  • Collaborate with a team of four engineers.
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections on equipment.
  • Accurately log materials and work.

Skills

Engineering experience in a plant environment

Electro-mechanical knowledge
