Job summary

WES, part of the RSE Group, is seeking an Electrician to join our workshop in Basingstoke on a permanent basis. You will work with established teams to support projects across the UK for clients in the water industry.

You will install and test electrical systems to BS 7671, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance. AM2 (Gold Card) and 2391 Testing and Inspection are mandatory, along with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with skill in the installation and repair of all types of electrical equipment and components.
• Demonstrable experience in electrical systems installation or maintenance will be considered

Responsibilities

• Install, gland, terminate cable systems mainly used in the industrial sector to BS 7671 and supplied drawings.
• Install electrical equipment to BS 7671 and manufacturers instructions.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and standards.

What Are We Looking For?

Due to continued growth, WES, part of the RSE Group, is looking for an Electrician to join us on a permanent basis at our workshop in Basingstoke. Some of Your Key Duties Include:

• Install, gland, terminate cable systems mainly used in the industrial sector to BS 7671 and supplied drawings.

What Do You Need?
