Lithia UK in Cardiff is hiring a Workshop Controller to join our growing service team, coordinating with Service Reception and Parts Teams. You will influence operations and drive a first-class customer experience.

The role requires proven experience in a motor industry service department, strong knowledge of health and safety, and excellent planning and people skills. You will coach apprentices and ensure paperwork and progress are tracked.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry.
• An excellent understanding of systems and processes operated to within this environment.
• A strong knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Confident with dealing with people at all levels, be able to build an immediate rapport.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Comfortable in negotiating and influencing situations.
• Lead by example to deliver an outstanding customer experience every time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining progress information against job allocation; ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed to standard and passed on to the relevant teams.
• Assist and advise team members in dealing with technical and job-related problems.
• Coach the workshop apprentices as and when required.
• Ensure the customer comes first.

What does the role of Workshop Controller involve?
