Qualifications

Salary: Up to £51,480 per annum, broken down as £22 per hour based on a 45-hour week, with an additional £0.50 per hour if you have an HGV Licence (training available).

Hours: 45 hours per week, rotating morning and afternoon shifts

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and assist the Technician team within the workshop
  • Perform weekly/monthly R&A inspections
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness
  • Assist in daily work allocation and prioritization
  • Keep the 'Daily Work Diary' updated
  • Monitor oil levels and organize waste oil collections
  • Manage workshop workload, input labor and parts data
  • Assist with safety reports and inspections
  • Procure and source parts
  • Carry out HGV MOT inspections and roadside repairs (training provided)

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician, NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification preferred
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements
  • HGV driving licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Own comprehensive toolkit (diagnostic tools provided by Veolia)
