Job description

Kelly Services are looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer to work for an established and respected client based in Shepshed, Leicestershire.

Salary: £30,500 per annum

Monday to Friday: 8:15 am until 4:45 pm
Role: Workshop Engineer

The Role
It is the responsibility of the Workshop Engineer to repair and maintain machines as they enter the Service Department.

To occasionally attend customer sites should a unit be too large to return to the client’s premises. To be part of the team carrying out pre-delivery inspections on high value goods and to contribute as part of the rota working in the assembly area producing goods for sale.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the principles of risk assessments and be able to follow ISO processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure machines are repaired and tested to a safe and operable condition.
  • To support customer service colleagues in explaining the reasons for faults and failures to customers
  • Ensuring that high value machines leave the premises safely and fit for purpose.
  • Assemble goods to a level that enables the user to enjoy a turnkey solution.
  • Maintain cleanliness of their working environment.
  • Adhere to and respect Health and Safety for themselves and others.
  • Quality and working procedures are met.
  • Follow ISO processes as pertinent to the role
  • Suggesting improvements in procedures to the Service Manager.
  • Any reasonable duties, which from time to time may be required.
