Job summary

Stuart Power Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks a Workshop based Generator Engineer to service a large fleet of generators, pumps, mobile lighting towers and related equipment from 20Kva to 2000Kva. You will prepare equipment for hire, diagnose faults, source parts, and carry out major repairs to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability.

Essentially you should have a relevant mechanical/diesel fitting qualification or proven generator repair experience; desirable is rental experience and

Qualifications

• Qualified in Mechanical/Diesel Fitting/Plant Fitting or proven generator repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment for hire.
• Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues on generators, pumps and lighting towers.
• Identify parts required to facilitate repairs.
• Carry out major repairs to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability, including engine repairs and major rebuilds.
• Load test on generators to ensure effectiveness of equipment.
