Salary - 25,000k - 30,000k (Depending on experience)

We're Hiring: Workshop Assistant (Permanent)

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Workshop Assistant to join our team in Billingshurst. This is a permanent position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is physically capable of handling heavy lifting. A positive attitude and a hands-on approach are essential.



Key Responsibilities

Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing heavy lifting as required

  • Operating workshop machinery such as beam saws, CNC drills, and CNC edgebanders

  • Carrying out general maintenance and cleaning tasks

  • Managing workloads and responsibilities assigned by the Team Leader

  • Understanding job-specific requirements and ensuring tasks are completed accurately

  • Reporting any faults, issues, or discrepancies with production or on the workshop floor to your supervisor



What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar workshop or hands-on role

  • Experience using workshop machinery (beam saws, CNC drills, CNC edgebanders, etc.) is preferred

  • The ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude and willingness to get involved
