Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Works Technician - Process Controller in the Wellingborough area. The role supports 24/7 water recycling processes with standard hours Mon–Fri 08:00–16:00, and standby/weekend work paid at enhanced rates.

You will operate and maintain assets, perform servicing, take process samples and ensure regulatory compliance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including private health care, a generous pension, 26 days annual leave and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Field/Engineering environment is ideal.
• Experience in a process/quality assurance environment is beneficial.
• Must have a good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Must hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water recycling assets such as tanks, pumps, screens, blowers and valves.
• Perform preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance.
• Carry out process sampling and escalate issues as needed.
• Comply with safety policies and maintain good housekeeping.
• Support energy minimisation while staying compliant.

**Works Technician - Process Controller****Salary – Starting at £31,756 with progression opportunities up to £42,873 Basic + standby & overtime payments****All tools, PPE, Business use of company van provided****Full Time / Permanent, with flexibility for part time** **Location** **– Wellingborough, Kettering, Rushden & surrounding areas****Hours** – Our processes operate 24/7, whilst the working hours for this role are generally Monday – Friday, 08.00 - 16.00, we can offer flexibility on the start and finishing times. Please note there is a requirement for standby and occasional weekend working which come with their own pay rates.Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Opportunity for shared parental pay* Bonus scheme* Flexible benefits and working culture to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.**Your Role**The Works Technician Process Controller has a responsibility to ensure that our Water Recycling treatment processes and systems are serviced and maintained within the relevant regulatory compliance – you’ll do this by:* Operating and maintaining our assets including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flow meters, compressors and much more.* Performing preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance such as lubrication on the systems above.* Carrying out process sampling to ensure things are operating as they should be and escalating any issues.* Complying with company safety policy & procedures as well as maintaining good housekeeping* Exploring and ensuring that we maintain the lowest possible energy demands without compromising compliance* In this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions. Due to harness weight limits, your maximum weight cannot be in excess of 113 kilograms and you will be expected to complete relevant occupational health checks**About you –** **Background and Experience*** Experience working in a Field/Engineering environment is ideal* Experience of working in a process / quality assurance environment would also be an advantage, however not essential* Good understanding of Health & Safety* Must have a Full UK Manual Driving Licence**Technical Skills*** Competent with IT systems* Problem solver, with the ability to work quickly and using own initiative**Interpersonal Skills*** Excellent team player, demonstrating an enthusiastic and proactive approach* Possess good interpersonal skills, along with excellent organisational skills and job prioritisation* Good communication, flexibility and reliability are essential for this position**Inclusion at Anglian Water**Join us and make a difference.
