WORKS MANAGER - Permanent Opportunity

DIVISION: Civil Engineering

LOCATION: Beverley, Hull

Due to continued growth, we now have an opening for a Works Manager to join our Civil Engineering division on a major project in Beverley, UK.

As Works Manager, you will be responsible for project managing our scheme, ensuring tasks related to design and construction quality, timeliness, and risk are completed following all GRAHAM processes and procedures.

We welcome applications from individuals with demonstrable experience in civils roles, who are practically minded and adopt a hands-on approach. Candidates should also possess excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication across site staff and clients.

Essential: Valid CSCS and SMSTS cards.

About The Role

Highways experience is essential.

  • Support the site team in driving work to completion
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety procedures, including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permits
  • Liaise with engineering staff, foremen, and clients
  • Plan and organize labour and plant resources
  • Ensure all site operatives are fully inducted
  • Undertake Toolbox Talks and Daily Task Briefings
  • Implement a clear understanding of works undertaken by subcontractors
  • Read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and programmes

Must have: A full UK driving licence.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role with a main contractor.
