Job Title: Works Manager
Contract Duration: 31/08/2026 - 18/12/2026 (could be extended further)
Hours: 7-7 Mon - Fri, 7-1 Sat
As the Works Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the management, leadership, and control of a multi-disciplinary site team, including Foremen, General Foremen, and on-site Labour. Working closely with my client's project management team, you will ensure that all subcontractors and direct workforces are appropriately supervised, expertly resourced, and closely managed to hit critical programme milestones.
To be successful in this role, you must bring a passion for safety, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to act decisively.
Demonstrable experience working within the rail and highway environments.
Proven experience managing a variety of works encompassing both direct and subcontracted workforces.
Exceptional Health & Safety awareness, backed by an outstanding safety track record and a true dedication to 'Zero Harm' principles.
The ability to confidently develop and maintain strong relationships with Clients and Stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to think on your feet in a fast-moving environment.
Advantageous: Previous experience and knowledge of M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) works.
