Join Our Team as a Works Delivery Manager

Are you ready to take the lead in managing multiple Network Rail and Rail infrastructure contracts? As a Works Delivery Manager, you'll oversee planned and reactive projects, requiring expertise in Civil Engineering Construction. Based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, you'll collaborate on projects throughout the Eastern Region.

The responsibilities of a Works Delivery Manager will include:

  • Procure essential materials, manage sub-contractors, and coordinate plant and equipment.
  • Implement site-specific management plans to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
  • Prepare site work packages and contract plans, facilitate possession, isolation, and traffic management requests.
  • Provide guidance to site personnel and identify training needs.
  • Conduct site visits with contractors and sub-contractors.

The ideal Works Delivery Manager possesses:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Civil Engineering Construction, preferably with a Structures background.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS certification.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple work sites.
  • Experience in railway environments (highly desirable).
  • Railway Safety Training (PTS) (highly desirable).
  • Strong multitasking skills and adaptability.
  • Proven track record in managing frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, people management, and problem-solving skills.
  • A solid understanding of design drawings.
  • Commercial awareness in cost monitoring and cost value reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Preferred qualifications: HND/HNC in Civil Engineering, NVQ Level 4-5 in Construction Management, CSCS Manager Card (Black), CDM Regulations, IOSH Managing Safely, SSOW.

Consideration may be given to candidates with relevant construction experience outside the rail sector.
