Job Purpose

Formulating strategy and managing the delivery of outsourced Facilities Management services across the UU estate, ensuring alignment with UU's operational requirements.

Leading and managing the delivery of the company's Workplace Strategy across all UU offices, depots, admin buildings, and welfare areas, working alongside the Head of Property. Managing major workplace projects.

Managing UU's commercial leasehold property portfolio.

Overall responsibility for Business Rates consultancy services across the estate and developing the company's Business Rates strategy.

Participating as a member of the Property Leadership Team to embed initiatives related to team engagement, health, safety, wellbeing, and policies.

Reporting to the Head of Property Services, the role involves managing the delivery of FM services through our FM Delivery Partner across the NW estate, including all FM projects and works.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of 5 and reporting to the Head of Property
  • Managing a substantial OPEX budget for accommodation, facilities management, rents, service charges, business rates, and energy, ensuring expenditures stay within budget and forecasting accurately
  • Upholding the workplace strategy and delivering related projects and schemes
  • Ensuring the delivery of outsourced FM services to over 340 operational sites, offices, and depots, meeting business expectations, budgets, SLA/KPI targets, and ESG targets
  • Managing the company's commercial leasehold portfolio, including negotiations and lease management, with detailed knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation
