Job summary

A successful civil engineering company is seeking a Working Foreman in Taunton. You will manage small civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance and timely completion. Ideal candidates will have at least 2-3 years’ experience as a Foreman, with CSCS and First Aid certifications. A clean UK Driving License and computer literacy are also required. This role offers the chance to work on varied projects within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of experience as a Foreman.
• Ideally from a Ganger or Groundworker background.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and record site inspections.
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements.
• Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings.
• Ensure the completion of works on time and within budget.
• Schedule, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of gangs/site operatives.
• Share and pass on knowledge to teams.
• Ensure gangs/site operatives complete all required documentation.

• Section 278 works
• Small infrastructure
• Bridges
• RC structures

Alongside at least 2-3 years of experience as a Foreman and ideally from a Ganger / Groundworker background, you'll need:

• Experience on small civil engineering projects - structures ideally
• CSCS, First Aid certifications
• Temporary Works (not essential)
• Computer literate
• Clean UK Driving License
